In September 2014 Speyside Wildlife guide Darren Rees was awarded the much-coveted post of Artist in Residence offered by the Friends of the Scott Polar Research Institute. Supported by the SPRI, Bonhams Fine Art Auctioneers and the Royal Navy Darren joined HMS Protector, the Navy's only ice-breaker, for an ice patrol tour from February 26th to March 30th 2015.
